De Chirico and the Theatre exhibition at the Serlachius Museum in Mänttä, Finland, from March 14 to August 17, 2025, brings to the public’s attention the intense and profound relationship that Giorgio de Chirico had with the theatre.

The exhibition, organized by the Serlachius Museum in collaboration with the Fondazione Giorgio e Isa de Chirico and with the technical and organizational support of Civita Mostre e Musei, is curated by Cornelia Bujin, Lorenzo Canova, Italo Nunziata, and Hannu Palosuo.

The exhibition project, in addition to reconstructing a space dedicated to the interiors of the Giorgio de Chirico House Museum, dedicates three rooms to three important theatrical moments in the work of the great Master of Metaphysics: I Puritani (1933), Le Bal (1929), and Otello (1964).

The exhibition features around 60 works from the collection of the Fondazione Giorgio e Isa de Chirico, along with prestigious loans from the archives of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, and the Fondazione Cerratelli.
