The anti-counterfeiting of IDArtScience Srl

The Giorgio and Isa de Chirico Foundation, in its ongoing commitment to countering the phenomenon of art forgery, has chosen to support the patented technology developed by the innovative startup IDArtScience Srl.

IDArtScience Srl offers a pioneering anti-counterfeiting system capable of defining the unique fingerprint of a work of art by analyzing the relationship between the internal layers of the painting. This model enables secure and entirely non-invasive cataloguing, without exposing the artwork to risk and without requiring the application of any extraneous elements to the object itself.

The Giorgio and Isa de Chirico Foundation fully and gratuitously sponsors this patented identification system by IDArtScience Srl within the framework of the archiving service it offers. The uniqueness certification produced through IDArtScience’s technology provides the owners of artworks deemed authentic by Giorgio de Chirico—whether private collectors, galleries, auction houses, or museums, with a singular and highly reliable tool for the recognition and identification of a work in cases of theft, loss, duplication, or substitution.

The identification code generated by the procedure, along with its associated documentation, will be securely stored by the startup, delivered to the owner of the artwork, and simultaneously archived at the Giorgio and Isa de Chirico Foundation, thereby ensuring the availability of all necessary information for any future verification.

This service will be provided by IDArtScience Srl upon request of the artwork’s owner. The cost of the service shall be borne directly by the applicant and paid to IDArtScience Srl.
