The End of Beauty? Debate on Classical and Modern Art

The conference was held on occasion of the 30th anniversary of Fondazione Giorgio e Isa de Chirico’s establishment in 1986 by Isabella Pakszwer Far, the artist’s widow, and Claudio Bruni Sakraischik, curator of the Catalogue Raisonne, with the aim of safeguarding and promoting Giorgio de Chirico’s art and intellectual work. A brief presentation of the Foundation’s principal activities was given. Various themes regarding the Philosophical and Historical aspects of de Chirico’s work were discussed, including the artist’s critique of Modern Art.
